In reply to someone who wants to hire Kiki as GM instead of Mitch

Let's see
  • Started with a 40-42 club
  • Saw them nose dive in '01-'02 to 27-55
  • Drafted with the #5 pick Nikoloz Tskitishvili, a total bust
  • Traded the #25 pick Frank Williams, Antonio McDyess, a 2003 2nd round pick for Marcus Camby, Mark Jackson and the draft rights to the #7 pick, Nene Hilario. Got the best of that trade as Camby has contributed more than McDyess and Hilario has contributed more than Williams, though Hilario hasn't done all that much for a #7 pick.
  • Fired Dan Issel and hired Jeff Bzdelik
  • Watched the nose dive continue in '02-'03 with a 17-65 record
  • Picked Carmelo Anthony with the #3 pick
  • Signed free agent Andre Miller to a 6 year, $51 million contract
  • Signed free agent Earl Boykins to a 5 year, $13.7 million contract
  • Signed Voshon Lenard to a 3 year contract.
  • Saw the team rebound to a 43-39 record
  • Drafted with the #20 pick Jameer Nelson, who was traded to Orlando for a future 1st round draft pick
  • Traded 3 1st round draft picks to New Jersey in a S&T for Kenyon Martin
  • Saw the team start the '04-'05 season badly, so fired coach Bzdelik
  • Saw the team continue to flounder under interim coach Michael Cooper, so replaced him with George Karl
  • Traded White and Tskitishvili to Golden State for Najera, Flores and a 2007 first round draft pick
  • The Nuggets played much better under Karl and finished the season 49-33

So Kiki
  • Hasn't drafted well, having managed to to pick one starter with a #3 pick, a #5 pick and a #7 pick
  • Has "rebuilt" the roster into an old team with 10 of the 15 players 29 or older
  • Has traded away the club's future by trading away prior picks Williams and Nelson and trading away three future #1 picks
  • Hasn't worked the cap well, so he doesn't have any cap room for the foreseeable future
  • Hasn't done a good job of hiring coachs, having gone through 4 coaches in 4 years

But other than that, Kiki has done a great job.
